NRF (National Retail Federation) have presently held a retail conference in USA and one of the headlines was how to run a business based on knowledge.

In the periodical SKO has Jens Birkeholm given an interview for an article regarding the subject with the following headline; “Take your feelings out of the decisions”. The essence is of course that we have to control our businesses based on knowledge not on emotions. But is this easier said than done?

No it is not and DdD software makes it easier for you. In DdD backoffice for example it is possible to have statistics of the different product groups making it easy to compare the numbers across the product groups.

You can take the step further and use DdD report to go further deep and do key number analyzes on variants and sizes and then decide which products that achieve and which does not. Optimizing of stock is one of the most important methods to increase earnings. And if you compare earnings with for example statistics from a costumer counter you have the possibility to optimize staff planning and thereby save money.

DdD also makes it possible to collect data about your costumers through a costumer club. In DdD backoffice you can easily and fast register data from your costumers. The costumer club is not only a way to keep costumers coming back for more sales, it is also a way to collect data as gender, age ect.
