DdD delivers cash registers to Holst Sko

12-04-2010DdD retail A/S merges with German competitor and is now among the biggest suppliers of IT solutions to fashion retailers
The Danish DdD retail A/S, with more than 20 years of development of cash registers and stock controlling for fashion retailers, has as of 1st of April merged with the German NTS Systemhaus GMBH (better known as COWIS.net). NTS has, as DdD, specialized in supplying IT solutions for retail customers all over Europe. With the merge DdD retail has more than 1600 customers and 2500 installations in more than 10 countries and is now among the biggest suppliers of IT solutions for fashion retailers in Europe. Today DdD retail has local offices in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Norway and the international ambitions do not stop here.
”The merge with NTS Systemhaus, and the establishment of the subsidiary DdD retail Germany AG, gives us not only the businesses and a strong customer portfolio in Germany but also highly qualified employees with special competences within our area. It means that DdD retail in the future will be able to deliver a wider range of products based on an even better technology platform and in such we are very well prepared for further expansion internationally”; says Peder Falck CEO since 2007.
The company, that since 1989 has delivered IT solutions for retail customers all over Europe, is – despite the crisis – in strong growth. The turnover, before the merge with NTS, is grown with an average of 26 percent per year since 2003. With the merge DdD retail now employs 40 people in 4 countries so far.
DdD retail and Ball Group enter into an agreement
23-11-2009DdD retail and Ball Group have agreed that DdD retail delivers the IT-solutions for Ball Group´s 48 stores in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Furthermore it is planned for even more openings of stores in 2010 and also here DdD will supply the IT-solutions including DdD pos, DdD backoffice and DdD report.
DdD elected as AAA® company 2009
17-11-2009Since 1989 a yearly credit rating of Danish companies is carried out. In 2009 Soliditet A/S has made the credit rating and DdD retail has been rated as AAA®.
The AAA® rating is the aboslute best evalutaion and is only given to companies that have this rating in all of the categories defined as profitability, solidity, and liquidity.
At Soliditet´s webpage the following is stated: "This year 8.165 companies receive our "congratulation letter" on the 10th of November. The draw i 2009 has been made on the 25th of October and is based upon public available data in our database at that exact point of time.
It is acutally only 3,8% of the compulsory accounts companies that have managed to get through the eye of the needle. The AAA® rating is given to companies with a very solid economy and a really good ability to meet the actual payment obligations, so you should really be proud if your company has been elected."

DdD ranks as no. 10 on the top 100 list from Computerworld
28-09-2009Tuesday the 24th of September, Computerworld elected the best IT companies 2009. DdD has received the highest rank so far as the no. 10 best IT company within the category sSoftware suppliers. A postion 7 ranks higher than last year.
It is the annual 14th election in a row from Computerworld of the best IT companies in Denmark. The election is based on an analysis of accounts from 350 IT companies measured on 4 parameters as return on effeciency, return of capital employed, growth in turnover and profit ratio.
On behalf of the analysis, DdD ended up in top 10 having a turnover in 2008 at 45,5 mio. DKK and a financial result at 3,7 mio. DKK.

21-08-2009Today Message has chosen DdD retail as a supplier for the IT-store solutions including DdD pos and DdD backoffice for their 23 stores - 21 in Denmark and 2 in Norway. All stores will be up an running with the DdD system with the end of November.
DdD retail launches DdD pos
18-06-2009Today, DdD is launching an upgrade of the current cash register solution for the retail trade. DdD pos is based on the most recent technology and includes an attractive graphic layout. ”We want to be at the leading edge of the increasing demands from the retail trade when it comes to flexibility and data security – and, therefore, DdD pos is based on the most recent technology and equipped to meet future requirements that may arise in the continuous development of the retail trade”, says CEO Peder Falck.
”The goal has been to create a product for our customers that ensures optimum handling of transactions in their stores. The user of the cash register should be able to complete a transaction quickly and simply. And the store manager should be able to extract important key figures on the individual products from the system and to customise the cash register to the needs of the store without having to worry about data security. All this is possible with DdD pos”, says Peder Falck.
DdD pos naturally includes the most frequently used standard functions such as discount, stock management, handling of gift vouchers, daily reports with key figures and much more. In addition, DdD pos has a number of other features that facilitate daily operations.
It is for example easy and simple for the administrator to maintain the configuration. The log on screen display can be designed to meet the needs of the store and to display daily sales, and it is possible to customise the cash register to the individual employee by selecting language, font and restrict the use of functions, but not least it is possible to define the text on gift vouchers, credit vouchers and receipts for exchange and the text in the customer display.
In addition, a major improvement of the DdD pos is that you can enter additional sales information on each product such as supplementary/replacement products and add a picture to the product. Features that will facilitate the work of the sales assistant and enable him or her to offer better service to the customers.

DdD takes over the activities in Massit, Sweden
19-03-2009From March the 1st DdD retail has taken over all activities in the Swedish Massit and the customer portfolio in Sweden increases therefore with 45 shops and more than 50 cash registers. Among Massit´s customers are Boomerang, Björn Borg and Selected Brands and with these DdD strengthens its position in the Swedish market for fashion retailers.
At the same time and to be able to respond to the increasing demand Markus Åkesson (owner of Massit) has been employed in DdD retail Sweden as a support and technical consultant. Markus has been working with the DdD solutions for the last 8 years and is thoroughly versed in both problems and solutions.

Detail Data opens local office
01-09-2008Detail Data has opened a local office in Tønsberg in Norway and Ole Rasmus Undrum has been named as Country Manager for Norway. Ole Rasmus Undrum has years of experience in the sales and support of IT solutions for retailers and has previously been employed at Hands and Visma Retail.
The establishment of the new organisation in Norway gives Detail Data the opportunity to improve services for existing Norwegian customers. Furthermore Norway is a strategic market with a lot of growth opportunities.
One of the first improvements Norwegian customers will experience is the implementation of the Norwegian language in their existing IT solutions. Before the end of 2008 all existing systems will be updated.

01-09-2008DdD retail has chosen the Jutlandic IT company iola as our partner in the development of a new Business Intelligence system. "It is absolutely fantastic and we look forward to the further developments"; says iola CEO Lau Bech Lauritzen.
iola was established in 2006 by Lau Bech Lauritzen, Anders Rune Jensen and Ole Larsen after an incubation time at SEA (Supporting Entrepreneurship at Aalborg University). They have all studied computer science at Aalborg University.
SEA has supported us from the beginning. Through SEA´s incubation solution, we have expanded our network, obtained legal and financial counselling and strengthened our business competences. Their help has been essentially for us and without them we could never have gotten as far as we have today", says CEO Lau Bech Lauritzen.
Esprit and Detail Data extend partnership
21-02-2008Esprit and Detail Data have extended their long-time working relationship in delivering IT solutions for the franchisees.
In the past four years Esprit has opened up more than 60 stores in Scandinavia. In the coming year Esprit expects to open up another 50 stores and has chosen Detail Data to deliver the IT solutions.
Aside from Scandinavia Detail Data and Esprit will also enter the Baltic countries.
